Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 2, 2026Welcome to Per Minute Content Reader (also referred to as "Per Minute"), developed by Arunkumar Nagelly. This Privacy Policy describes how the application handles information when you use our document reading and accelerated reading application on iOS and Android devices (technical package identifier: com.readrush.readrush).
Per Minute Content Reader is designed as an account-free, offline-first application. We believe your reading materials, habits, and progress belong exclusively to you. Our architecture is intentionally engineered so that your documents, reading history, and personal preferences remain stored locally on your device.
1. Architecture & Account-Free Design
Per Minute Content Reader operates without requiring an account. Specifically, under the current application architecture:
- No user accounts: You do not need to register, create a username, or supply an email address or password to use the application.
- No application backend or cloud database: We do not operate a proprietary user database, application server, or cloud storage backend for user documents or reading records.
- No server-side reading history: Your reading sessions, words-per-minute (WPM) metrics, and comprehension scores are never transmitted to or maintained on developer servers.
- No document uploads: Documents you choose to import are stored in your device's local application storage and are not uploaded to a developer-operated server.
2. User Documents
Per Minute Content Reader allows you to import and read documents in multiple formats, including:
- Portable Document Format (PDF) files
- Electronic Publication (EPUB) files
- Plain Text (TXT) files
When you select a document using your device's native system file picker, the application reads the file directly from your local storage or copies it to the app's local sandbox to render the text and calculate layout. Imported documents and their metadata remain within the local storage of your device. We do not inspect, collect, or transmit your document contents to any remote server under the current architecture. Users are advised to import and read content that they have the lawful right to access.
3. Categories of Information Stored Locally
To provide full reading functionality, the application stores certain categories of operational data strictly on your physical device:
- Imported Content & Metadata: User-selected PDF, EPUB, and TXT files, document titles, file sizes, and extracted reading structure needed for on-device display and parsing.
- Reading Activity & Metrics: Current reading position, page/chapter bookmarks, reading progress percentages, historical reading timestamps, measured reading speeds (words per minute), baseline assessment results, training sprint completion targets, and comprehension quiz scores.
- App Preferences: Display themes, typography choices, font sizes, RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) pacing settings, flash intervals, and accessibility configurations.
- Premium Entitlement Information: Locally stored trial activation records, locally cached purchase receipt or entitlement tokens verifying whether membership features are active, and purchase transaction states.
- Offline Intelligence State: On-device model availability flags, downloaded model weights if applicable, and locally computed processing results.
4. Offline & On-Device Intelligence
Per Minute Content Reader may provide optional intelligence features designed to assist your reading. The architecture for this feature is strictly on-device and offline:
- Inference is performed locally on your device hardware using local models.
- There is no integration with third-party cloud AI APIs, remote large language model servers, or hosted analysis backends.
- Your document text is not uploaded to an external AI server for processing.
While this architecture is designed to prevent remote exposure of your text, we conservatively remind users that local processing relies on the integrity and security of your own device and operating system.
5. In-App Purchases, Subscriptions & Store Data
Per Minute Content Reader offers an optional Premium membership that unlocks advanced features, including unlimited RSVP/accelerated reading after trial expiration, Training Sprints after trial expiration, and on-device intelligence. The available tiers include:
- Monthly Subscription
- Annual Subscription (presented as Best Value in the application)
- Lifetime Purchase (one-time unlock)
Payment Processing: All purchase transactions and subscription billings are processed entirely by the platform storefront—the Apple App Store (via StoreKit) on iOS/iPadOS, or Google Play Billing on Android. The developer does not operate a payment gateway and does not receive, process, or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses.
The application only receives the necessary cryptographic receipt or entitlement token from Apple or Google to confirm your active membership status and unlock features locally. Applicable prices are set by Apple or Google in your local currency according to your storefront region.
6. In-App 7-Day Local Trial
The application provides a 7-day local in-app trial for RSVP/accelerated reading and the Training Sprint feature. It is important to understand how this trial functions:
- The trial is managed entirely by app-side local logic stored on your device.
- It is NOT an Apple App Store or Google Play introductory subscription trial. You do not need to subscribe or enter payment information to start this trial.
- The trial timer begins strictly upon your first successful activation of an RSVP reading session or Training Sprint within the app.
- The trial does not start merely upon installing the app, opening the paywall screen, reading standard documents, or completing the reading baseline assessment.
- The trial remains active for 7 consecutive local calendar days from initial activation. No user account is required.
7. Advertising & Telemetry
There are no advertisements in the current release of Per Minute Content Reader.
- The application does not include Google AdMob or any third-party advertising SDK.
- We do not collect or utilize advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID).
- There is no ad consent framework or behavioral profiling implemented.
- The application does not contain third-party analytics SDKs, user session trackers, or remote telemetry packages.
8. Device Permissions
Per Minute Content Reader requests only the system permissions necessary to perform its user-requested functions on your device:
- System File Selection / Document Picker (iOS & Android): When you choose to import a PDF, EPUB, or TXT document, the app requests access to open the file selected by you via the operating system's standard document picker interface. This access is conditional, user-initiated, and strictly used to read and render your chosen document locally.
- Network Access (Android -
android.permission.INTERNET): Used exclusively to download the optional Offline Intelligence model weights if you choose to install on-device intelligence. Model inference itself executes entirely on your device and never uses the network. Your imported documents and reading records are never transmitted over the internet as part of model downloads or inference. - Local Notifications (Android -
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used on Android 13 and later to display local progress indicators in your notification tray while importing large document libraries or downloading model files. - Foreground Services (Android -
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICEandFOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC): Used to support long-running, background-safe operations such as large document library imports and model file downloads so that the operating system does not abruptly terminate the task when the app is minimized.
The app does not request or require access to your device contacts, location services, camera, microphone, or identity information. No document data accessed through file selection is transmitted off your device.
9. Third-Party Services
Because the app is built for local and offline-first use, its reliance on third-party services is minimal:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Used exclusively on iOS devices to authenticate purchases, process subscription renewals, and restore purchases. Data handling by Apple is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy (apple.com/legal/privacy).
- Google Play Billing: Used exclusively on Android devices to authenticate purchases, manage subscriptions, and restore purchases. Data handling by Google is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
- Model Distribution Host (Hugging Face): If you choose to enable optional Offline Intelligence, the app downloads the required model weights file directly from Hugging Face's public content delivery infrastructure. This download retrieves the static model weights artifact; the app does not upload your documents, reading history, or personal information to Hugging Face as part of the download. Hugging Face does not perform cloud AI inference for the app.
No other third-party SDKs, tracking pixels, or external API services receive your personal data or document content from the application.
10. Data Retention & Deletion
Because Per Minute Content Reader does not maintain a remote backend or user database, data retention is managed directly by you on your physical hardware:
- Document Deletion: You can delete any imported document from your library at any time within the app's library management screen. Deleting a document removes its contents and cached metadata from the application's local storage.
- Reading History & Cache: Local reading progress, historical metrics, and cached preferences remain on your device until cleared or until the app is removed.
- Uninstalling the App: Deleting or uninstalling the application from your device removes all locally stored documents, preferences, and reading records according to the operating system's standard deletion process.
- Restoring Purchases: If you reinstall the app or switch devices, previously purchased lifetime unlocks or active subscriptions can be re-validated through Apple's or Google's standard "Restore Purchases" feature using the same platform account.
11. Children's Privacy
Per Minute Content Reader is a general-audience reading utility. The application is not specifically directed at children, nor does it knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children or any other users. Because the app does not collect personal identifiers or transmit data to remote servers, no child data is stored or processed by the developer.
12. International Users & Privacy Rights
Per Minute Content Reader is distributed internationally through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or various US states), you may have legal rights regarding access, deletion, portability, or control of personal data. Because the developer does not collect, receive, or store your personal information on any server, you can exercise complete control over your data directly on your device by managing, deleting, or clearing your local files and application data.
13. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the application's local and offline-first architecture to protect information stored by the application. Your files and reading progress are stored within the sandboxed storage provided by iOS and Android, which isolates application data from unauthorized access by other applications on your device. We conservatively remind users that overall security also depends on keeping your device operating system updated and maintaining physical control over your device.
14. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect product updates, platform requirements, or architectural adjustments. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Because we do not collect your email address or contact details, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
